The city's Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite the public to a workshop on Monday, July 11 at 6 p.m. regarding the future design of Greenacres Park.. The workshop

will take place at CenterPlace Regional Event Center, located at 2426 N. Discovery Place in Spokane Valley.

This in-person only workshop invites residents to share their preferences for park amenities to be constructed as part of the Phase 2 project. A second public workshop will be

available on Wednesday, July 13 at 6 p.m. and will be virtual only. The link to attend will be posted soon here on our Facebook page.

Background includes a master plan was completed in 2010 for Greenacres Park, which described two phases of construction. The first phase was completed in 2012, and the city is

pursuing a grant to fund the second phase. These two community workshops are designed to gather feedback and answer the public's questions.
