Our programs for adults in April include creative, entertaining, and informative offerings. During Money Smart Week, you can learn about building your credit, home buying, spending smart on essentials, and more.

Earth Week brings BioBlitz 2022 with programs for all ages and a guided hike just for adults at the Waikiki Springs Nature Preserve. Vegetable gardening and container gardens are on spotlight in April for anyone looking to increase their home bounty.

Business owners, marketers, and entrepreneurs can get help with social media and learn about free library resources that are a great fit for businesses.

Creative, Entertaining & Informative

Creativebug: Daily Painting Challenge

Paint along with daily videos, and then meet up with other painters online to share tips and encouragement. This Creativebug class takes you on a 28-day journey of painting the world around you—from fruits, vegetables, and objects to complex portraits—all using acrylic craft paints and basic brushes. Learn fundamental skills for working with this versatile medium, including how to add shadows, depth, and dimension. No matter your skill level, this daily guidance will invigorate your practice. The library will provide basic supplies to get you started. Adults

Waikiki Springs Nature Hike

Celebrate Earth Day with a nature hike around the Waikiki Springs Nature Preserve led by Inland Northwest Land Conservancy. Learn about the preserve and take some pictures for the BioBlitz on iNaturalist. This hike is easy to moderate and approximately 3 miles out and back. NOTE: A Discover Pass is required to park at the Waikiki Springs Trailhead. A limited supply of Discover Passes are available through library catalog.
