Note that due to extraordinary public-health circumstances related to the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, participation in this meeting will be offered virtually. Some or all of the City Council Members will attend in person and/or via Zoom Meeting.

ITEM A1:      Approval of Minutes

Requesting the approval of City Council Minutes for February 7, 2022.

 

ITEM A2:      Approval of Minutes

Requesting the approval of City Council Study Session Minutes for February 14, 2022.

                                   

 ITEM A3:      Purchase Approval Register

Requesting the approval of the Purchase Approval Register for Century West Engineers a total of: $21,849.23 and T*O Engineers a total of: $42,022.10.  Combined total of: $63,871.33.

ITEM B:        Preferred Land Use Alternative for the 2022 Comprehensive Plan

                        Recommendation of the City Council on the Preferred Land Use Alternative for the 2022 Comprehensive Plan

 

ITEM C:        Acceptance of Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Preconstruction Loan

                        The City Council authorized an application to Washington State Office of Drinking Water for a preconstruction loan to perform preconstruction activities for the water replacement project. The loan was approved.  The City Council is asked to authorize acceptance of the loan.

 

 ITEM D:        Enhancing Pedestrian Access Through Surface Transportation Block Grant

The City Council is asked to authorize the acceptance of a grant to enhance pedestrian access using Surface Transportation Block grant funding.    

 

ITEM E:        Increasing Mobility With A Federal RAISE Grant

The city is working to expand east-west connectivity along the 6th Avenue and 21st Avenue corridors.  The City Council is asked to consider authorizing staff to collaborate with regional partners to develop a design and rights of way acquisition grant application for both corridors.

 

 ITEM F:         Capital Facilities and Utilities Chapters – 2022 Comp Plan Update

Review engineering scope of work to provide assistance in developing capital facilities and utilities chapters for 2022 Comp Plan Update.

2. No comments shall be made from any other location. Anyone making "out of order" comments shall be subject to removal from the meeting. If a person is physically challenged and requires accommodation, the Chair shall be advised. 

3. There shall be no demonstrations (i.e. applause) during or at the conclusion of anyone's presentation.

4. These rules are intended to promote an orderly system of holding a public hearing, giving every person an opportunity to be heard ensuring that no individual is annoyed or embarrassed by exercising his/her right of speech.
