Providence Healthcare has a new program for seniors in need of long-term care to get the services they need.

It's called 'ElderPlace' and is an extension to Providence Healthcare's Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).

"Our program is growing to meet additional needs in Spokane County," ElderPlace Executive Director Susan Tuller told KXLY.

Located on North Astor Street, this PACE center is the first of it's kind in Spokane County. ElderPlace provides seniors with transportation to and from their homes and the PACE center. The ElderPlace system currently helps more than 900 senior citizens. Providence Healthcare told KXLY the newest location will have a full clinic staffed with a geriatrician, RNs, plus both physical and occupational therapists.

"We're able to stabilize our vulnerable senior population and keep them healthy in the community, which is where they want to be," Tuller told KXLY.

People 55 and older who need help with daily living are eligible for the program.
