In 2024, all H-1B petitions submitted by employers classified under the Information industry located across Spokane County Times publication area were approved, according to data provided by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services via the H-1B Employer Data Hub.

This represents an approval rate of 100%, which is higher than the average in Washington across all industries.

That year, the statewide average approval rate for H-1B petitions stood at 98.4%, slightly higher than 2023’s 97.8%. Across the publication area, employers across all industries submitted 54 petitions during the same period, with an approval rate of 98.1%.

For comparison, the U.S. reported an average approval rate of 98% in 2024.

While the Manufacturing industry led the H-1B filings with 32 petitions, representing 59.3% of all submissions in Spokane County Times publication area during 2024, the next largest contributor was the Educational Services industry, which accounted for nine petitions and represented 16.7% of the total. Among petitions from employers in the Educational Services industry, 88.9% were approved and 11.1% were denied.

The Spokane County Times employers that filed the most petitions in the Information sector in Spokane County Times publication area during 2024 were Enhanced Software Products, Inc. and Moat Metrics, Inc., each with one petition.

Compared to 2023, the Information sector saw an increase in the number of H-1B petitions across Spokane County Times publication area during 2024.
